Help the Council review Older People's Day Services

Share your experience and help Cambridgeshire County Council improve Day Services for older people.

Have a one-to-one conversation with the Council to tell them what you think about Day Services. Meeting to be held in Huntingdon or Cambridge, between the 25 and 29 March 2019.

The Council needs your help to look at the services and activities that support older people to socialise with others, and provide respite for carers.

They want to hear from you if you are 65 years or older and get support from adult social care, or have recently been diagnosed with dementia.

They want to find out the things that affect your use of local social activity groups and initiatives, including:

  • What is important to you when you are choosing whether to go?
  • What puts you off attending?
  • What motivates you to keep attending?
  • Is there anything that stops you being able to attend?

The Council want to get feedback about existing activities and develop ideas to improve groups. Tell them what you think might be missing locally.

What you share will help shape their evaluation of the initiatives they provide to support over 65s across the county.

They want to hear from you if you are a carer of an older person, or someone recently diagnosed with dementia

The Council wants to find out:

  • What is important you in terms of respite provision?
  • What are the benefits to using provision?
  • What are the barriers to using provision?

Your experiences and ideas will help shape the Council's evaluation of respite provision for carers.
