Patient representative for respiratory project - Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group - Ends 30 September 2017
Join Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group's (CCG) new respiratory project as a patient representative.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG have a higher emergency admission rate for people who have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) than other CCGs.
To help tackle this, the CCG wants to develop a new community respiratory service for people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This work is being done as part of the local Sustainability and Transformation Plan.
The new community respiratory service will include:
- Two Community Respiratory Consultants who will coordinate services across GP practices, community services and within hospitals, and hold outpatient clinics in the community.
- Extra respiratory specialist nurses to run COPD clinics with GP practices
- Earlier diagnosis and management of respiratory conditions: resulting from support to help identify and diagnose patients earlier; support to raise awareness of COPD with support from the British Lung Foundation.
As a patient representative, you will have a seat at the regular project meetings. These 2 hour long meetings will take place fortnightly and they will be held at Lockton House, Clarendon Road, Cambridge, CB2 8FH.
The project should end on 31st March 2019.
If you would like to join this project please email: firstname.lastname@example.org by 30 September 2017.
