Be our new Digital Engagement Officer

Digital Engagement Officer
£21,328 (pro rata); i.e. £12,105 for 21 hours per week, based at our Huntingdon office.
You'll be involved in planning and delivering a range of online and offline engagement activities across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
You will be:
- Collecting feedback from local groups, organisations and individuals, working to ensure that seldom-heard people are listened to
- Making links and developing partnership approaches with other organisations
- Working with our Communications team to support online engagement activities on social media
- Working with volunteers as part of a small but busy team
You will have strong communication skills and an understanding of local health and care services. And a willingness to travel across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough as part of the role.
About this role
The Covid pandemic has changed our way of working and called a halt to our regular face-to-face community engagement activities, such as visiting community groups and holding workshops.
This new role was developed to increase our capacity and skills for listening to and involving people in service change through digital channels.
However, as Covid restrictions lift, we anticipate the role switching to a balance of digital and face-to-face engagement activities.
How we support our staff
We offer a friendly, supportive work environment to all our staff, who get together regularly to share ideas, experiences and mutual support.
We have flexible working policy which helps our team balance family and caring responsibilities alongside work – particularly during these tough times. And our team of mental health champions are always developing ingenious ways to keep us motivated.
We are part of a national network of local Healthwatch organisations. And you will get the opportunity share ideas and learning with colleagues in similar roles across the country.
You’ll also be encouraged to undertake training to improve your skills and develop in your role.
