Partnership Support Officer

Our Healthwatch is looking to recruit a Partnership Support Officer to help us connect with people across our area and listen to their views about health and care.

This part-time role involves supporting the health and social care Partnership Boards commissioned by our local authorities, and our four public Health and Care Forums across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Use your communications, IT and team working skills to

  • Set up meetings, take minutes and support the Boards’ Independent Members to improve adult social care services and speak up for carers, older people, people with disabilities and sensory loss.
  • Organise and record public meetings for our regular forums in Greater Cambridge, Fenland, Huntingdonshire and Peterborough
  • Help build links with local communities, professionals in the health and care system and voluntary groups across our area.

Hours and Salary

This is a part time role, 24-28 hours a week, with a pro-rata salary based on a full time rate of £19,767 per annum.

You'll be based at our Huntingdon office at The Maple Centre but you will be expected to regularly attend meetings and events across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Because of the pandemic, most of our staff are currently working from home. However, working arrangements are flexing towards a gradual return to our office.

How we support our staff

We offer a friendly, supportive work environment to all our staff, who get together regularly to share ideas, experiences and mutual support.

We have a flexible working policy which helps our team balance family and caring responsibilities alongside work – particularly during these tough times.

We are part of a national network of local Healthwatch organisations. And you will get the opportunity share ideas and learning with colleagues in similar roles across the country.

You’ll also be encouraged to undertake training to improve your skills and develop in your role.
