Meet our new directors
Two new directors have joined our Healthwatch Board.
Nadia Emmony and Paul Jobling were endorsed at our Board meeting in Cambridge yesterday.
Nadia, from Friday Bridge in Fenland, brings 10 years of experience with Milton Keynes Healthwatch management group.
She began her working life looking after children with special needs before starting her nursing training and going on to become a neurosurgical ward Sister.
She previously lectured for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and provided support for people with the condition. She also ran a health promotion unit in East London, writing a paper with public health on cardiovascular disease and the Asian community.
Before retiring, she worked as a practice manager in Shropshire and Bedfordshire. She moved to Cambridgeshire last May.
Business Consultant Paul lives in Cambourne, South Cambridgeshire.
After completing a degree in pharmacy, he worked in retail pharmacy before running the emergency doctors’ service in Newcastle on Tyne and Southampton.
He went on to join the NHS, becoming Director of Operations and Quality assurance for South Tyneside Family Health Services Authority.
Paul spent 15 years in business development in the international video games industry before returning to medicine.
He has a master’s degree in marketing and brings experience of working with community health councils – forerunners of Healthwatch in England.
