New health and care forum launching for Greater Cambridge

People in Cambridge and south of the city have a new public forum where they can have their say on local health and care issues.

The Greater Cambridge Health and Care Forum is being run by Healthwatch which already runs forums in Fenland, Huntingdonshire and Peterborough.

The first meeting, on Wednesday 5 February at The Orchard Community Centre, Central Avenue, Orchard Park CB4 2EZ, 10am to 12 noon, will put the spotlight on mental health and hear people’s experiences of local services.

“This is an invitation for people to come along and share their ideas and experiences. We want to hear what’s good and what could be improved,” said Graham Lewis, Healthwatch Cambridgeshire Partnership Development Manager, pictured above.

“We’ll be running the forum every two months and will be talking about different topics each session, inviting local health and care decision-makers to answer people’s questions.”

People can attend any of our forums to hear updates on local services, share experiences and raise concerns.  Healthwatch then shares feedback from local people  with those with the power to make change happen.

Like to attend but need information in a different format – such as a British Sign Language interpreter?  Please get in touch with Graham on 0330 355 1285.
