Winter pressures on local emergency departments
04/01/2018
Our local hospitals are under huge pressure at the moment, particularly the Emergency Departments at Peterborough City Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Some non-urgent elective operations in January may be postponed following recommendations from NHS England to try and reduce emergency pressures.
Hospitals are contacting all patients affected and aim to reschedule any surgery as soon as possible. If you are a patient and you have concerns, please contact the telephone number on your hospital letter or appointment slip.
Help your local NHS look after you and other people by using the best service to meet your needs – contact your local pharmacy, NHS 111 or your GP for advice. #choosewell
