‘Pop-up shops’ for our Partnership Boards

We are really excited to be working on a new calendar of ‘pop-up shops’ within the community to talk about the work of our adult social care groups, called our Partnership Boards. With a brand-new set of pop-up stands and materials ready to go, we'll be heading to an area near you very soon!

Join us to change health and social care for everyone

We are really excited to be working on a new calendar of ‘pop-up shops’ within the local community - we'll be raising awareness about the work of our adult social care groups, our Partnership Boards. With a brand-new set of pop-up stands and materials ready to go, we'll be heading to an area near you very soon!

What are Partnerships Boards?

The Partnership Boards are a panel of people with lived experiences (volunteers), known as Independent Members, as well as voluntary sector service providers and statutory services, such as health and social care. Through the group we give people with lived experience of using adult social care services a say on current and future care – our volunteers can help to change health and social care for everyone.

Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council pay us to organise and develop Partnership Boards locally:

  • Carers Partnership Board
  • Learning Disability Partnership Board (including autism services)
  • Older People's Partnership Board
  • Physical Disability Partnership Board
  • Sensory Impairment Board
  • Wheelchair Users Forum

New 'pop-up shops' coming soon

While our meetings are held regularly, it's also really important that we go out into the community to talk about the work of our Partnership Boards; ensuring the public is aware of our impact and can find out more about joining as a volunteer. We already do this but with our new materials launched this month, we're excited to raise even more awareness.

Graham Lewis, Project Manager, says:

"While we've always communicated our volunteering opportunities to the wider public at regular local events, we are thrilled to have a brand-new set of materials to use, which will see us ‘popping up’ all over the area at locations across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. Our members get involved in promoting the meetings, so collaborating together on our new pop-up event calendar has been really exciting. Dates of where we will be and when will be published soon!"

Get involved - join us to change health and social care for everyone

If you use adult social care, or if you care for someone who does, your knowledge and experience could really help others. Share your knowledge at our meetings and help improve care.

The dates of our 'pop-up shops’ will be published shortly.
