This year’s theme is Dying To Be Heard and is all about listening to people who want to talk about dying or making final plans.
This year, because of the coronavirus pandemic, many families have had to cope with a loved one dying suddenly or before their expected time because of the virus.
Social distancing and hospital and care home visiting restrictions have meant not being able to see family or friends in a care home or hospital at the end of their life or being able to to pay their respects at a funeral.
In recognition of these exceptional circumstances, Dying Matters has launched the #BeforeTheirTime campaign. This encourages people to share their experiences online and talk through concerns
Local bereavement support
An updated bereavement support booklet has been published for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, listing the main services and organisations offering help to people who have lost a loved one.
