The Greater Cambridge Partnership (CPG) are currently consulting on plans that include:

  • Expanding the existing bus network, with cheaper fares set at £1 / £2.
  • Investing in better walking and cycling links.
  • Creating a sustainable travel zone to include a road users' charge for driving within the Zone between 7am and 7pm on weekdays.

The travel zone includes Addenbrooke's, the Rosie and Royal Papworth Hospitals.

A range of discounts, exemptions and reimbursements are proposed, including for patients using Accident and Emergency services, and those who are assessed as "too ill, weak or disabled to travel to an appointment on public transport."

The CPG are running both online and face to face engagement events where you can find out more about the proposals and share your views.
