Remembering Alena

Alena was a strong advocate for disabled people, carers and older people.

Graham, our Partnership Development Manager, manages the work of the adult social care Partnership Boards for our local councils.

And he paid tribute to Alena – a long time friend and work colleague.

“I was fortunate to work with Alena at CAIL (Cambridgeshire Alliance for Independent Living) where she was Chief Officer and before that, when she volunteered for Cambridge AIDS Action (now known as Dhiverse).

“She was committed to improving services for people with disabilities, carers and older people.

“She wanted people to have the information they needed to make their own choices and also have a say in developing and delivering the services they used.

“Her dedication to her family, friends and wider community will be sorely missed.”
